​The Prime Minister's Office and the Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam, MPABD, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU. The ceremony was held at the MPABD Building in Kuala Belait.

Present was Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Sufian bin Haji Sabtu, Deputy Minister for Security and Law at the Prime Minister's Office as Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee. Signing the MoU were Awang Zulhusam bin Haji Abdul Samad, Acting Permanent Secretary for Security and Law at the Prime Minister's Office and Retired Captain Zil Husam bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Chief Executive of MPABD. The MoU aimed to strengthen cooperation in areas related to maritime security and national security interests through a 'Whole of Government' approach. Also held was a visit to the 'National Coastal Surveillance System' in Kampung Sungai Teraban, Kuala Belait.
